Published as "the 21st of August the year of application", with no year; this site assumes the 2027 intake. Semmelweis lets you apply and sit the entrance exam while still in your final year - "Those who have not yet received this certificate can also submit their application and take the entrance examination" - but "The final deadline for uploading the Matriculation Certificate is the 21st of August." Your IB Diploma is issued in early July, so the gap is about six weeks; the risk is not the date but forgetting the step exists.

What it is

Year one covers health-science foundations: anatomy, physiology and pathophysiology, public health and epidemiology. Later years bring midwifery subjects including obstetrics-gynaecology, neonatal and paediatric medicine and nursing, perioperative care, the psychology of supportive connection and ethics in midwifery. Small classes, a mentor system and a high-fidelity birthing simulator prepare you for supervised clinical placements, and the fourth year is mainly field practice and the thesis. Graduates work in delivery rooms, prenatal and postpartum care, outpatient departments, lactation consulting and family planning, or go on to a master's.

What you need

No IB-specific rule: entry is Semmelweis's own entrance exam and interview (oral exam for health BSc). Final-year students can apply and upload the IB certificate by August.
