Published as "the 21st of August the year of application", with no year; this site assumes the 2027 intake. Semmelweis lets you apply and sit the entrance exam while still in your final year - "Those who have not yet received this certificate can also submit their application and take the entrance examination" - but "The final deadline for uploading the Matriculation Certificate is the 21st of August." Your IB Diploma is issued in early July, so the gap is about six weeks; the risk is not the date but forgetting the step exists.

What it is

The first year is built on health-science basics such as anatomy, physiology and pathophysiology, and public health and epidemiology, followed by nursing theory and practice. You learn in small groups with a mentor, and clinical practice under tutor supervision runs through the degree. The fourth year is mostly field placements and the thesis. You can focus on areas such as internal medicine, surgery, obstetrics-gynaecology, intensive therapy, paediatrics, neurology, psychiatry, primary care and oncology. Graduates work in primary care, hospital wards, nursing homes and hospices, or continue to a master's.

What you need

No IB-specific rule: entry is Semmelweis's own entrance exam and interview (oral exam for health BSc). Final-year students can apply and upload the IB certificate by August.
