    Not an official deadline. With a Dutch address you log in with DigiD, which the government says takes about five days. Without one you upload a scan or photo of your passport or EU identity card and Studielink verifies it automatically. Either way, do it well before 15 January.

What it is

The first part builds a broad base in software development: programming in Java, Python, C# and JavaScript, SQL and database concepts, tools such as Git and Docker, and Agile and Scrum ways of working. Learning is project-based, applying theory to real challenges in international teams, and shaped further by internships and a graduation assignment. After about a year and a half you choose a specialisation: Business Informatics, Software Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, Cyber Security, Data Science or Embedded Software. Graduates work as software or database developers, data scientists, AI developers or security professionals, or continue their studies.

  • No subjects required beyond the IB Diploma.

Every IB applicant at Fontys

The IB Diploma is named as giving access. Many programmes also want satisfactory maths grades, engineering also physics or chemistry, with no IB grade set. An IB Diploma usually exempts you from an English test.
