Not an official deadline. With a Dutch address you log in with DigiD, which the government says takes about five days. Without one you upload a scan or photo of your passport or EU identity card and Studielink verifies it automatically. Either way, do it well before 15 January.

What it is
Year one rests on calculus, linear algebra, mechanics and relativity, electricity and magnetism, mathematical physics and programming, with Introduction to Astronomy and Observational Astronomy, which uses the university's own observatory. Year two adds quantum physics, thermodynamics, waves and optics, and courses on the physics of stars, galaxies and radiative processes, taught through lectures and tutorials. In year three you carry out a research project in a research group and can choose a general astronomy minor or one on instrumentation and informatics. The programme links to the ASTRON and SRON institutes. Graduates go on to PhD research, technology roles with satellite and telescope companies, or business positions such as strategy and risk assessment.
