Not an official deadline. With a Dutch address you log in with DigiD, which the government says takes about five days. Without one you upload a scan or photo of your passport or EU identity card and Studielink verifies it automatically. Either way, do it well before 15 January.

What it is
The first year covers cell and molecular biology, biostatistics, genetics, ecology and evolution, microbiology, physiology and behavioural neuroscience, taught in intensive three-week courses with practicals, fieldwork and independent study. You then choose a major in Ecology and Evolution, Molecular Life Sciences, Behaviour and Neurosciences, or Biomedical Sciences, the last partly at the University Medical Center Groningen. A third-year minor semester can be spent abroad, and you complete a research project and a bachelor thesis. Graduates work as researchers, environmental advisors, ecologists, policy advisors, science communicators or teachers, or continue to a master in fields such as marine biology or neurosciences.
