Not an official deadline. With a Dutch address you log in with DigiD, which the government says takes about five days. Without one you upload a scan or photo of your passport or EU identity card and Studielink verifies it automatically. Either way, do it well before 15 January.

What it is
Year one includes medieval English literature, an overview of English literatures from Chaucer and Shakespeare to Austen and Atwood, English linguistics and the structure of language in social contexts, and Professional English for academic writing, presentations and debate. Year two adds cognitive aspects of language and identities and ideologies from medieval to modern times, with options such as sociolinguistics, Arthurian studies and early modern literature. Classes are small, a placement and a minor are possible, and you can study at partner universities in the UK and Ireland. About 80 percent continue to a master, and graduates work in publishing, politics, cultural organisations, tourism, communications and education.
What you need
- The IB Diploma counts as Dutch VWO; no minimum points. An IB taught in English waives the English test.
