Not an official deadline. With a Dutch address you log in with DigiD, which the government says takes about five days. Without one you upload a scan or photo of your passport or EU identity card and Studielink verifies it automatically. Either way, do it well before 15 January.

What it is
You study the history, literature, art, philosophy and material culture of the ancient world, from a wide geographical and time perspective. Year one includes Objects in Context, The Classical Canon and a cultural history of the ancient world; later courses cover Mediterranean cultural contact and religion in antiquity, with an excursion abroad in year two. You choose a specialisation in ancient history, archaeology, Ancient Near Eastern Studies including Akkadian, or Latin or Greek for Dutch speakers. The degree is shared with another Amsterdam university, so lecturers and classes come from both, and there is free space for a minor, internship or study abroad. A bachelor's thesis shows interdisciplinary analysis.
What you need
- Full IB Diploma needed (IB courses alone are not accepted); English as an IB exam subject covers the English requirement.
