What it is
The opening year combines calculus, algebra, physics, engineering mechanics, materials science and chemistry with programming, electronics, engineering design and CAD. The emphasis is hands-on: laboratories, design studios, system integration workshops and multi-stage engineering projects modelled on real missions, plus an obligatory industry or research internship. Electives in later years cover spacecraft subsystems (avionics, power and thermal, propulsion), space systems engineering, Earth observation, space robotics and rovers, mission cybersecurity, space economy and policy, and bioastronautics. Graduates move into spacecraft and satellite engineering, mission operations, avionics and control, space software and data engineering, or on to a master's in a space-related field.
What you need
