What it is
The first two years cover anatomy, histology, embryology, biophysics, biochemistry and physiology, years three and four add pathology, microbiology, immunology and pharmacology, and the last two years are entirely clinical. Bedside teaching begins in the first year, and each year is split into winter and summer semesters with exam periods. Teaching is entirely in English at the medical faculty in Pilsen. Graduates receive the MUDr. degree, awarded in a ceremony at the Carolinum in Prague, and can practise medicine internationally.

What you need
- Written test in biology, chemistry and physics (75 questions), in Plzeň or at agency sittings abroad. No IB waiver; the IB needs no assessment fee.

Charles accepts an IB Diploma automatically, with no assessment fee. Each faculty runs its own selection; a few faculty pages still list a recognition fee for foreign diplomas, so ask.
How places are decided
- The dean sets the pass mark from the number of places; one attempt per year. 2026 criteria; 2027 not yet published.
