What it is

This interdisciplinary degree draws on sociology, public policy, media studies, political science, social anthropology, economics and environmental studies, and takes up current questions such as governance, the social effect of media and how society and technology interact. You learn both analytical and interpretative research methods, with attention to research ethics, and prepare a substantial bachelor's thesis. A wide choice of electives lets you build your own profile. Graduates go on to social science master's programmes, research, media, communications, government, NGOs or private companies.

What you need

  • Two rounds: your record and motivation letter shortlist you, then you write a supervised online essay (350–500 words) on a social issue.
