Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre · Lithuania
A performer's degree with wind and percussion as the main subject: preparing and performing works in many styles as a soloist or in ensembles, with music history and theory.
You specialise in one wind or percussion instrument (flute, oboe, clarinet, bassoon, saxophone, horn, trumpet, trombone, tuba, baritone, euphonium, cornet or percussion), studied every semester. A large share of the study goes to ensemble and orchestra work: wind quintet, equal-voice or chamber ensembles, symphony, wind or brass band orchestras, and percussion ensembles. Basics of conducting, the history of wind instruments and percussion, theory and music history sit alongside, and professional practice leads to a final art project and an ensemble art project.
