What it is
The core covers social psychology, the biological foundations of behaviour, emotion and motivation, developmental, personality and cognitive psychology, psychopathology, individual differences and psychometrics. Teaching links theory to practice through at least one project-based course each year, practical internships, practicum placements and thesis seminars. A Global-MINDS specialisation in cross-cultural psychology is available, and students come into contact with research centres on decision making, the biological basis of social behaviour and social and technological innovation. Graduates work as psychotherapists, researchers, developmental, business, market research or sports psychologists and human-computer interaction specialists, or continue to a master's in Clinical Psychology or Applied Social Psychology.
Taught on four campuses
