Deadlines

  1. 2 February 2027

University of Warsaw - 2027/28 admissions may not begin before this date
    Details

A genuine 2027 date, and one of the few in Poland. Senate resolution 278 of 20 May 2026, which governs 2027/28 admissions, states: "Postępowanie rekrutacyjne rozpoczyna się nie wcześniej niż 2 lutego 2027 r. i trwa nie dłużej niż do dnia 30 września 2027 r." It is an outer bound on the whole university, not the opening of any particular round; the round dates come later, in a Rector's ordinance. Resolution 315 of 24 June 2026 amends only the foreign-qualification recognition clause, so these dates are unchanged.

  2. 6 July 2027*

    IB results released
    Details

Some Polish deadlines fall after this — Poznan Medical closes on 20 July. Where one closes earlier, ask the university how it takes IB results that arrive later.

  3. 30 September 2027

University of Warsaw - 2027/28 admissions must conclude by this date
    Details

The closing half of the same sentence in Senate resolution 278: admissions last "nie dłużej niż do dnia 30 września 2027 r." Like the 2 February opening bound, it is an outer limit on the whole university, not the closing date of any round. Resolution 315 of 24 June 2026 changes only the foreign-qualification recognition clause, not this date. The same day is the deadline for asking a recruitment committee to correct your result after a successful matura appeal.

What you could study here

What it asks of IB students

IB grades convert to percentages (7 = 100%, 6 = 90%, 5 = 75%, 4 = 60%), HL as extended and SL as basic level, weighted per degree; the Diploma proves B2 English if you were taught and examined in English.

Where it says so

Worth knowing

Polish and international applicants compete for one set of places per degree, and EU citizens pay what Poles pay: three bachelor's are free, the rest charge everyone one price.

All 3 notes
  • Polish and international applicants compete for one set of places per degree, and EU citizens pay what Poles pay: three bachelor's are free, the rest charge everyone one price.
  • You can register before your results: enter your IB subjects and levels in IRK, then add grades and a scan of the results by the upload deadline, which last year fell five days after registration closed.
  • Each required subject must be on your IB results, with no substitute exam, and an application without B2 English proof scores zero; IELTS counts from 5.5 (6.5 for Psychology).
